List of selected students for admission through JNVST 2017 has already been released. Parents/Guardians of selected students are expected to go through the following set of activities to ensure smooth completion of admission procedure.
1. Check the Select List of Students
It’s very important to download the select list of students and check the name & other details of the candidate looking for admission. The list is available on the website and also displayed on the Notice Board of each Vidyalaya. For those who are not very good in computer and the internet, other Navodayans are requested to help the people near you. Once you are sure that your candidate name is listed in the select list, you may proceed further.
2. Required Forms
You will have to submit the details to Vidyalaya in the format given by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Make sure that forms are filled correctly and updated, incorrect details or incomplete forms will unnecessary cause delay in the admission process. You may download all the forms or you may visit the Vidyalaya to get a complete set of printed forms in case you find it difficult to download and print. A brief description of all the forms and related details are given below:
Bio-Data: It contains basic details about the candidate, along with the details of school from where the candidate passed class III, IV and V. The details should be filled by the parents/guardians, they may take help from the school in which student was studying before.
Certificate: It is to be signed by the Head-Master and the Principal of the school in which the student was studying. Also, make sure the seal of school is also stamped at the right position on the certificate.
Undertaking by the Parents/Guardians: Give correct address and recheck the information given in all the documents before you sign.
Undertaking for Migration: JNVs are having a very wonderful Migration Scheme, in which students of class IX may get an opportunity to study in JNV located in a different part of the country for a full academic session. Keep this form blank as it is to be filled in presence of Principal. In general, it is a good opportunity which every student should opt for.
Medical Fitness Certificate: You will have to provide a medical certificate duly signed by a medical officer. Do not forget to put candidate’s photo on the certificate.
Disability Certificate, Community Certificate, and Rural Certificate (If Applicable): Provide the appropriate certificate if any of these are applicable to you. It includes the certificate issued by the competent authority in respect of Rural, OBS, SC, ST, and Disability.
Residence Certificate: It is to be filled by the parents. Check all details correctly before signing.
Certificate from Tehsildar: It’s an important certificate, get it signed from Tahsildar of your district.
If you are prepared well and have all the documents listed above in the required manner, you will enjoy the admission process and can complete it well in time.
Things to Keep in Mind
1. Admission will be done only after the complete verification of the documents.
2. Parents are advised not to take TC from the previous school until the admission process is complete.
3. No fee is to be paid to school authorities for admission to class VI.
4. Parents may approach the principal of concern JNV directly to facilitate the admission process.
